Admission Policy

The Lerner School is open to all children who have at least one parent of the Jewish faith and whose family embraces the mission of the school. We welcome children into all grade levels. Prior knowledge of Hebrew is not a requirement.

The Lerner School considers several factors in the admission process, including student visits and interviews, school records and teacher recommendations, sibling enrollment, and gender balance. There are no evaluations for Preschool acceptance; however, preference is given to families who plan to continue at Lerner for elementary school.

Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old by October 16 of that year. Children whose birthdays fall shortly after the cut-off may be considered on a case by case basis.
