Financial Assistance
The Lerner School is committed to helping families who wish to enroll but cannot pay the full tuition. Financial assistance is available to families who demonstrate need. The Lerner School uses the services of School and Student Service (SSS) Financial Aid in Princeton, New Jersey to analyze financial need. The Committee's review is confidential, and no information is shared with teaching staff. Award decisions are final and will be made as soon as possible after all application materials have been received.
Preschool financial assistance is available for those families who also have a child enrolled in the elementary school.
Parents applying for financial assistance should speak with the Business Manager regarding adjustment of payment deadlines for the enrollment fees.
Our financial assistance program is generously supported by the Durham-Chapel Hill Jewish Federation and two endowment funds: the Sam Fuchs Endowment for Financial Aid and the Albert and Adeline Gelb Fund.
